1 Step

Wash and Soak the Basmati Rice in Water for 20 minutes

2 Step

In a cooker, heat the oil, add the whole dry spices, and sauté for one minute, then add the onions and cook until transparent.

3 Step

Saute for a minute with the ginger garlic paste and green chillies, then add the powdered spices and cook for another minute.

4 Step

Simmer until tomatoes are mushy, then add carrots, potatoes, green peas, and soya chunks , cauliflower (or your choice of vegetables) and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

5 Step

Bring the water to a boil, then add the soaked rice, fresh coriander, lemon wedges, and garam masala, stirring well. On medium heat, pressure cook until 1 whistle. Turn off the heat and allow the cooker to naturally depressurize before opening the lid.

6 Step

Gently mix and serve hot with chilled veggie raita or any other raita of your preference.
